In Pakistan there is strong prevalence of Thalassemia and health setup to address this problem is yet to be strengthened. In this scenario those who can’t afford its treatment expenses are helpless. Many thalassemia patients often die without diagnosis while those diagnosed find it hard to get adequate treatment. Lakki Foundation in collaboration with Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Trust is trying to establish a state-of-the-art setup in Peshawar. This will provide all services without charging a penny from deserving patients.
